This is another really old one, from the same time frame as Can't Take It In. I seemed to do lots of drawings then that I never uploaded; I can't really seem to think of why!
Anyway, this is a wonderful little duck called the Smew. They're so cute and so PRETTY. I'd love a character of one, butohgeez I have way too many characters already. So for once I managed to draw something and not make it a character!
I was practising realistic techniques on this one obviously, very different to my normal stuff! But I think it worked out pretty nicely; I was experimenting with just simple strokes and pure whites and blacks. Hoorah! Also, I painted this at actual size, for those of you curious. 8D
I think that is all really; I could ramble on more but I think I should save you people who've read this far from any more torment! ladeedaaaaaaaaa enjoy!
WOAH!!! ARE YOU SAYING THIS ISN'T A PICTURE!!!??? At first glance, I thought it was a picture and when I read your comments to make sure, I was shocked to see that thise was not a picture! You have very awesome art skillz!! I can never really draw realistic stuff so I cartoonize everything.
hehe, yeah! It's a painting; eeeeeeeehe. ^^' Thank you very much though! I normally cartoonize everything too, so this is a bit of a branch out for me! Sometimes I find it is harder to create something that is cartoonized and has heavy lines around the outside than it is to create something that looks like real life, because to cartoonize something you need to understand what it looks like in real life, as well as be able to decide which lines are the important ones! :3

That is true! I also think it's hard to shade because you don't always know where the shadows are going to be. The lines are also important! I usually forget to add a line here.... and there... and a lot of other places.
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
