okay, the schedules are out and the times for our final, make-or-break-major assessment are out for all the students in my class. It's where we have to present ourselves, our film (the DVD and all our work and our supposed-to-be-written-down progress), our personal demo-reels and portfolios to a panel of apparently very harsh judges who are mean just because they can be.

11am-12pm Thursday 12th November

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. oAo That's when me and Rekkar have to go in, present Garbage Man!, then we each have to do a personal presentation where they assess us on our own. EEaaieeaaanooooo. ;m;

Well, hpoefully we'll get everything together by then. @n@ On a plus note, that means essentially there's until the 10th or so, for those people still wanting to draw art/do something for the DVD.

Another cool thing, I told my Mum about how I had posted her msn drawing and people had said she was their art idol, and she was all "Geez, maybe you'd better not put that on the DVD, you know, the other artists just might feel overshadowed by my brilliance." XD I love my Mummy. BUT, she did also make us THIS. WHICH IS MOST AWESOME.



ATTENTION TO DETAIL OH MAE GAWD. I'll add this to the other list as well, but I thought I'd put it here too. LOOK AT THAT SNORKEL PIECE. IT'S AMAZING. It's actually like an.. oil.. pump.. refiller or something? Apparently my parents have been trying to hunt down something suitable for days. Aaghhh so awesome. ;3;

Anyway, back to work I go! Thanks guys, I love you allllll! You make me so haapppyyyy and I miss youuuu! Sorry for the slow responses to everything! \;3;/

Okay, extreme measures. I'm going to close down msn and not reopen it, and if I'm TEMPTED I will uninstall it so that I can't be. I simply cannot afford the time it takes out of my schedule at the moment, and it's no one's fault but my own that I allow myself to be so absolutely and utterly distracted by it. Talking to wonderful friends is much more fun than working, but right now, I just can't. T_T

I'm sorry if this makes anything more difficult. But, should you need to contact me for whatever reason, send a note! I will still be checking dA at least twice a day (probably more) and I'll try to respond to anything of importance as soon as possible!

And I'll keep updating the page of Garbage Man! drawings whenever I get a new one, about a week left if you want to be on there! ^^

Final Edit: Added miss Fluna and miss Elmo's entries to the list, and that's it guys! Of course, if anyone still wants to draw anything, or has drawn anything and hasn't got it in yet, feel free to send it in anyway (we'll have to do another release of the DVD later, to give to dA people! that's not this current deadline), but for going to our presentation, this is the last day.

To everybody who participated (even if just as encouragement!); holywow. Honestly. Thank you SO MUCH. I did not expect such an incredible response, in any way, shape or form, and so many of you have participated and pulled out absolutely stunning artworks for our silly little film! There are some just BEAUTIFUL artworks here, for possibly the most gag character we've ever made (except maybe Monsieur Aubergine, okayokay XD) and there is no way I can repay you all in any way for your help and your input. Suffice to say I am utterly touched that you all did this just to help out, or for the lulz, or not expecting any reward. However, I can offer you this:



Nobody can convince me that doesn't make them happy. XD

Again, I cannot thank you all enough. Just take a look at these beautiful arts below, if you haven't, and just... Gwah. ;3; Every time you guys sent me a note, or a comment with another artwork, I ran around like crazy and squealed madly, I can assure you. This has been a most epic venture, and sometimes getting these gifts were the only things cheering me up on utterly rubbish days/nights/sleep, because they were the only things about the film going right, haha.

Also, just in case you're all curious, at this stage we've put a standard copyright on the bottom of all of them, it's just a black bar with people's names and then their dA address in BRIGHT RED (because it's POWERFUL), a bit like subtitles I suppose, like so:



We put it on all of them, even the one's that already had copyrights, because we thought that was the most fair. If we can find some nicer way to do it when we have a little more time, like perhaps our DVD program will let us do actual LINKS, then we definitely will. For now, guys, again; thank you, so much. Words, I don't really have them. ;w; Hopefully Kitty Garbage Man can sort of.. somehow.. express my sentiments.

<sub>Note: And because I've been asked some questions in regards to it; there's no restrictions on amount of entries, or mediums, or finished-ness, or anything like that. Sketches, mspaint, full digital artwork, anything! I mean, we'd even take literary stuff, we'd just have to come up with a way to display it on the DVD! xD And you know what would have been a great Halloween idea? a GARBAGE MAN COSPLAY. I would have done it if I had the time! Later!


I forgot to say, those of you who wanted to do some art or something to be on the Garbage Man! DVD, there's about a week or so before the deadline. ;3; So it's not very long, but then again, he's a pretty simple character (makes him easier to animate, bwahahaha!) And we are currently filming and compositing a whole HEAP of behind the scenes wonders, makings of, commentary, and amazingness, it's going to be so awesome. o3o</sub>

Also, I thought I should highlight some of the things that have already been drawn of him! Hoorah!

Ohhh myyyy gawwwwwdd. @_@ But in two weeks, all this university work will be OVERRRRR. Hooray! And then I will ACTUALLY RESPOND TO COMMENTS AND NEW WATCHERS. I'm sorry about the delays guys, I swear I'll get to all of you!

I went and booked the major flights into and out of Los Angeles for my January trip, for those of you interested in knowing that! I will, after university ends, be opening up commissions yet again to try and repair the $3000-odd deficit now in my wallet, and maybe give me some money to spend while I'm actually over there in America/Canada. XD

In other news, Garbage Man! is, for the most part; COMPLETE. We're in the process of doing the final touches, credit sequences, music and sound effects (these last two which we are sourcing from some amazingly talented people!) and we even have an incredible THEME SONG. OH YES. But for that, that is remaining mostly secret, I hope, and you shall all see it when we release the film!

Speaking of releasing the film, we have to make a DVD for our film to hand in, and we need content to go on it. And I had a thought, "Hey, let's put in like a Guest Art gallery where people have drawn Garbage Man!" So I thought I'd ask, would anybody here like to be on the DVD in such a gallery? We've already gotten a most adorable pixel GM from miss Mera, to start us off, thank youuuu~! ;3;

But yeah, would anyone else want to do that? I thought it could be a fun exercise! Plus you get to be on a ~*~DVD release~*~ at our university. There's no money involved, but it's mostly just for lolz, really. This whole film is just one big lol. XD

So if anybody wants to do that, all you'd have to is draw Garbage Man in some/any way, whatever you might like, and shoot me a link to a picture! I just thought I'd ask in case anybody else thought this was a cool an idea as I do. XD If I get any I'll start featuring them in my journal too, as inspiration~ ^^
